Michael Page?s investment strategy made clear

What does a recruitment consultant actually do?

The role of a recruitment consultant is principally to satisfy two parties: namely the recruiter and the employee. You will act as a trusted intermediary to ensure that both parties come to a mutually happy arrangement. Your negotiation skills and ability to communicate well with both groups will be fundamental to the role.

Establishing long-term relationships with clients and candidates is key to your success as you earn the trust and respect of these parties. To be successful you’ll need to fully understand the business intricacies of each client and immerse yourself in the job market conditions at all times. You’ll also spend time interviewing and screening candidates and familiarising yourself with their individual career goals.
