About Our Client
My client is a leading global engineering business, trading under a well known Irish brand, based in Dublin 15.
Ensuring Building Management functions are operating to the needs of the company and meets compliance with statutory regulations with Support from Building Vendors.
Ensuring IT & Communication Systems are operating to the needs of the company, providing support to the Organisation across all levels in IT&Communication Systems with Support from IT External Vendors.
Providing the necessary Procurement/Vendors Management support to the rest of the company departments to ensure the Company gets the best value for goods and services across all the different areas of activities (including the operation and maintenance supplies/subcontracts)
Manage the office and associated buildings at the company main depot, including the planned, preventive and reactive maintenance
Maintain adequate records of all issues relating to facilities and safety so that the organisation can demonstrate full compliance with its legal obligations and with good practice in this area by ensuring that there is a clear Audit trail.
Monitor security and the arrangements on an ongoing basis and be on call for activation and failures.
Manage the IT&Communication Systems of a multi-site that includes the company main depot plus two secondary depots
Coordinate and take part in audits of all aspects of the IT&Comm. environment and investigate systems performance and processes issues plus any IT&Comm related processes issues affecting the business.
Manage the relationships with all service providers associated to the building facilities (eg. electrical, mechanical, etc.) and IT&Comm activities, including development of SLA's, Contract Negotiation, Contractor Performance Measurement, Reporting
Direct action to deal with urgent building/IT&Comm. facilities failures
Responsible for Businness Countinuity Planning, Disaster Recovery Planning, Backup and Recovery operations and Security Management
Responsible for data management, compliance and data governance , including Data Protection compliance
Provide commercial/vendors management support to the rest of the company departments to manage third party service providers across all areas of the organisation including discussing costs, timelines and service-level agreements (SLAs)
Provide support to identify and source Soft & Hard Goods & Services across all departments.
The Successful Applicant
Third Level or Professional Degree in Facilities/Building Management or related
Postgraduate qualifications / Knowledge of IT Support
Advance proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
CIPS Cert or Equivalent Procurement Management (Desirable)
English - Strong communication both oral and written.
3-5 Years Experience in a Building and Facility Management role with exposure to managing a team.
Experience on managing IT Systems &Communications user support in multi-sites
Experience on commercial/vendors management
Project Management Experience (PMP, CPMA)
Knowledge of the legislative environment and best practice in relation to Commercial and Company Policies
Understanding of Key Procurement Techniques and Tender Processes. RFP, RFT, RFQ, MOQ, etc
What's on Offer
€50,000 - €55,000 plus bonus.
