Undertake the monthly loan loss analysis and forecast process, updating IAS 39 provision models; Investigate all book movements, impacting loan loss provisioning with recommendations for changes to provision rates, loan loss budgets and risk modelling as appropriate; Undertake the Half Yearly review of Loan Loss provisioning with full evaluation of model factor outputs and recommendations to accept/amend the model outputs; Ensure that all external factors impacting on loan loss forecasting are accurately assessed and taken into account in the model with appropriate back-testing of outputs; Complete stress testing of model and assumptions on a regular basis to ensure that model remains fit for purpose and that the impact of stressing factors on Loan Loss Provisions is communicated to management; Inputs/outputs of the monthly, quarterly and half yearly processes, including any changes in key loan loss drivers fully documented as well as model changes/development fully documented; Develop robust working relationship with other colleagues in the Unit and across Credit & Risk to inform own analysis, evaluate book trends and achieve due rigour/challenge to loan loss analysis.

Who we're looking for
The roles require a numerical and statistical background and a proven ability to work with data. Previous experience in risk management and risk modelling would be desired, but not essential; Third Level qualification in mathematics, statistics or another related discipline including a significant numerical element; Ability to interpret and understand the results of analysis; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral; Experience of working both on own initiative and as part of a high performance team; An interest in, and aptitude for, problem solving; Excellent computer skills: Word/Excel/PowerPoint and experience of, or willingness to learn, SAS; Business acumen with an ability to challenge existing methodologies and procedures, recommend solutions using new ideas and technology; Results orientated and proven track record in accuracy, timeliness and quality.
