Compliance Director

Reporting directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and the CFO, this Compliance Director role is at a senior level and requires ongoing knowledge of evolving compliance, regulatory requirements and the best practices of leading global banks. Ensuring the development, organisation and implementation of strategic and functional compliance plans in line with the business and management needs, your role will encompass the following:

• Ensure the performance of the Compliance role for the bank
• Ensure the development of and implement strategic and functional compliance plans in line with business and management needs
• Provide Senior Management and the Board's Audit Committee with the assurance that the unit is in compliance with all relevant law and regulations
• Ensuring the banks policies are updated for any changes in requirements in accordance with ongoing developments at the bank
• Contribute to the prevention and/or detection of Money Laundering activities
• Develop, train and mentor direct reports

Who we're looking for
With this senior Compliance Director role, the emphasis is on your strong compliance experience, specifically within the banking sector. You must also possess the following:

• The ability to apply independent and expert judgement and analysis, while co-operating with and encouraging the co-operation of, front office staff
• You must be highly motivated, with strong management and organisational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
