Tell us about your time with Michael Page Ireland

Before Michael Page I was with State Street for three and a half years as a Market Data Officer. I joined Michael Page Ireland in 2007 when the business was still very young. At that time I wanted to try something different; something where I could make good money and change people’s lives for the better along the way. That sounds a bit cheesy but it’s the truth.
I was brought in to set up the Funds desk and have focussed on this sector ever since. It’s a really busy desk. We’re experts in our field, and having worked in financial services before recruitment I know my market particularly well. The thing that sets us apart is that we always meet our candidates and clients and implement a very specialised search based on their individual criteria. We’re not going to send 15 CVs to every job; we’re going to identify a shortlist of people who are going to be a good fit based on each remit.
No two days are the same, from client and candidate perspective, and from a work environment perspective. It’s great to be part of such an experienced team who come to work every day with a sense of humour and fun to match their hard work ethic.

What do you enjoy about working in Dublin?

Dublin is a great city to work in. Everything is close by; I love that you can pretty much walk everywhere. It’s a large city but it feels small. Over recent years lots of new bars and restaurants have opened up; match these with the influx of new businesses and people and the city has a real metropolitan feel.

What does the future hold for Michael Page Ireland?

We have very ambitious growth plans over the next few years, it is an exciting time to be involved with MP Ireland. Personally I want to reach my next promotion and become a director with the business.

Why should someone consider working with MP Ireland?

We have an amazing team, massive potential and a fantastic city. Come and join the madness!
