Packaging Manager

Responsibility for the production of consumer products to support companies marketing and consumer strategy in a high-volume manufacturing site. In addition, you will oversee the packaging department to ensure the completion of production requirements in a timely manner by providing direction and coordination for the packaging department collaborating with multiple departments.

Job Description

  • Managing and overseeing the entire packaging process within the manufacturing department.
  • Ensuring all packaging meets quality standards and regulations.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve packaging efficiency.
  • Collaborating with other department heads to ensure seamless production.
  • Coordinating and maintaining relationships with packaging suppliers.
  • Identifying and addressing any issues in the packaging process.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of packaging equipment.
  • Ensuring all safety and regulatory procedures are adhered to.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Packaging Manager should have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory/leadership experience
  • Experience in plant operations / maintenance
  • Experience implementing FDA and GMP regulations.
  • Experience in TPM pillars like AM, PM, EEM/IIM, Installation & Commissioning of new packaging lines/equipment/troubleshooting, coaching, and mentoring for technical capability building.
  • Ability to articulate business vision to staff, peers, and senior executives.
  • Understanding of production forecasts and SAP systems
