Job Description

We are seeking an ambitious Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant to join a growing professional services business in Dublin. Working closely with senior leadership and the Finance Director, you will support the day-to-day finance function while contributing to management reporting, commercial analysis and business performance initiatives.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage invoicing, accounts payable, reconciliations and credit control activities.
  • Support monthly management accounts, reporting and financial analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting.
  • Monitor project profitability, utilisation and business performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting systems such as Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and financial controls.
  • Provide financial and administrative support to senior leadership and operational teams.
  • Assist with ad hoc commercial and strategic analysis as the business continues to grow.



The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will have previous experience in a finance, accounts or bookkeeping role and be looking to develop their career within a commercial finance environment. You will be a proactive and organised individual with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while building relationships across the business.Key Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in a finance or accounts position.
  • Part-qualified (or studying towards) ACCA, CIMA or a similar qualification preferred.
  • Strong Excel and financial systems experience.
  • Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • A proactive mindset and interest in improving processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
