About Our Client
Our client is a globally recognised retail organisation operating across multiple international markets, with a strong reputation for innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. As part of an ongoing investment in finance systems and digital transformation, they are seeking a Finance Systems Specialist to join their Dublin-based team.
Job Description
This isn't a traditional finance role and it isn't a pure SAP position. We're looking for a naturally curious problem-solver who enjoys understanding how financial transactions move through systems, investigating issues, and improving processes within a complex international business. In this role you will:
- Support and investigate financial and operational processes across multiple systems.
- Analyse transaction flows, identify root causes of issues, and work with stakeholders to coordinate solutions.
- Monitor data quality, controls, and process integrity across key business activities.
- Support users with system-related queries and process improvements.
- Participate in ERP enhancement and transformation initiatives, including upcoming SAP S/4HANA and Workday programmes.
- Assist with testing, process documentation, and continuous improvement projects.
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, IT and international stakeholders to improve system effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Support reporting, reconciliations, and data-driven decision making.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have experience supporting and optimising finance or ERP systems within a commercial environment, with a strong understanding of SAP and business process improvement. They will be a proactive problem-solver who can confidently work with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver effective system solutions.
Key requirements include:
- Experience supporting financial systems or ERP platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience investigating system or process-related issues.
- Exposure to financial transactions, reporting, reconciliations, or process controls.
- Experience gathering requirements, supporting UAT, or driving process improvements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive and curious approach to learning new systems and processes
Desirable experience:
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA
- ERP implementation or transformation project experience
- Experience within a retail, supply chain, or multinational environment
- Knowledge of Databricks and/or Intrastat reporting
- Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and end-user training initiatives
